Who are we? We are an independent, not-for-profit research organization whose mission is to conduct and share research with workers, labour, employers, clinicians and policy-makers to promote, protect and improve the health of working people.
What do we do? Since 1983, we have been providing research and producing evidence-based products to inform and assist clinicians, researchers, policy-makers, employers, labour and workers. We also train and provide mentorship for the next generation of work and health researchers.
How do we share research-based knowledge with others? Along with research, knowledge transfer and exchange is a core business of the Institute. This means finding new and better ways to exchange information and put research findings into the hands of key audiences in the work-health sector–clinicians, researchers, policy-makers, employers, labour and workers.
