The Summer Research Program (SRP) at the Sydney Health Institut (Australia) offers an opportunity for highly motivated undergraduates and graduates students in Biology, Physics and related natural sciences to participate in the Summer Research Training&Courses with some of the leading scientists in the world in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research. Students will be involved in an on-going research project, trained in the proper use of laboratory equipment and introduced to a number of laboratory techniques.

The program will run six weeks, from July 20 to August 31, 2006.

Round trip transportation to Australia will be provided and students will be housed in air conditioned Institut dormitories. In addition to air fares and housing, students will receive a stipend of $450 per week. Students who participate for the full 6-week duration of the Program will receive approximately $2,500.

The Program is competitive and the selection criteria is based on transcripts of record in relevant science courses, interest in biomedical research, and level of preparation for laboratory research. Students from the New Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union are welcome to apply.

Current resume must include your work experience, education steps, taken courses, knowledge and skills, extracurricular activities and interests.

All three parts of the application should be send at the Institute by April 8, 2006.
